I'd like to say it all started when...
I was an infant or toddler, that I just picked up a pencil and I knew that I was destined to design; but that's just not the case.
I was a strange and curious child which lead me to be a strange and curious teen. I always had an interest in art and design, but I was also interested in a vast array of other things. I loved reading and writing (my head could always be found in a book); I loved history and mythology (I wanted so badly to be an archeologist and a curator in a museum); I loved a good mystery (obsessed with Scooby-Doo and Nancy Drew);and I had taken a liking to science (bioforensics, genetics, and nature being a few of my favorite things).
But art and design really stuck with me. Of course I still had an extreme interest in everything else, but I loved trying to use design to make someone's life better--even if only a little bit.
I loved to draw, sculpt, and paint, but once I began college, I quickly learned that even though I was very right brained, my left side of my brain still held way too much power for me to feel like I belonged in those sort of classes.
Strangely enough, logic, research, and facts fueled my creativity and I have this mind made for business. Little did I know at the time, graphic design was a mix of all of those things and allowed me to constantly expand my knowledge of any subject I desired.
It's been a long road, but here we are.
